When Staying at Home is No Longer Safe or Practical. Apartment Living for Independent Living and Personal Care.
Residential Independent Living is a wonderful opportunity for active and independent seniors who no longer wish to live alone, or be burdened with all the responsibilities of home ownership, security, maintenance, cleaning and cooking. Living in your own apartment, with your own precious, personal belongings, makes a tremendous difference in your ability to enjoy a full and active life. With your own furnishings and accessories, your apartment truly becomes your new home.
For individuals who require some help to continue to live independently, the Personal Care apartments at the Residence may be the perfect choice. Our Catered Living options offer assistance with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing and taking prescribed medicines, while you live in your apartment.
You may bring your own car if you wish, but you really don’t have to. Our transportation is available for scheduled appointments and to a variety of outside activities. Our concierge will help with scheduling your appointments.
At the Residence, we do not dictate the programs we offer. Our Program/Activities staff works with members of Residents Council to develop enriching and exciting programs based on what residents want and need. You will find an abundance of interesting and challenging opportunities for socializing, wellness, recreation, education and entertainment.
Our residents don’t receive medical care; instead, they can take advantage of support services, including transportation to scheduled appointments. There’s a beauty/barber shop right here and spa rooms on each floor. You can exercise on equipment expressly designed for older adults.
There is always a professional nurse on hand, or, should you need more complex care, you and your family can have peace of mind knowing that skilled nursing is available at the Jewish Home – right next door.
At the Residence, you’ll be as free to do as much or as little as you want. And you’ll never have to change another light bulb, cook another meal, or find someone to hang a picture or shovel the snow.
The Residence is licensed as a Personal Care Home by the Pennsylvania Department of Human Services.
