The Residence Experience
The Residence is justly proud of the food prepared and served to our residents. With continuing input and suggestions from residents, our Executive Chef and professional cooks prepare lively and nutritious Kosher cuisine prepared according to Jewish standards of Kashruth—meat and dairy foods are never served together. They often experiment with specialties of different countries and cultures, and always present meals in an appealing manner. Our Dietary Manager makes sure that the daily menus contain a wide variety of alternate choices.
Often, our residents enjoy special buffets, seasonal delicacies, and picnics for residents and their families. The kitchen prepares meals for special events, always for birthdays and other celebrations, and much more. Regularly, our residents enjoy “cooked-to-order” breakfasts, a variety of soups both hot and cold, and many choices when they don’t want the main menu offerings. There is a distinct private dining room that may be reserved for family events, and we are frequently called upon to prepare meals for our bereaved families.
Please view a sample of the weekly lunch menu as well as a dinner menu for this week. Our residents are encouraged to choose what they love and let the Chef know suggestions for future meals. We believe meals are an important part of life and enjoyment should always come first. (We also offer an variety of “always available selections” for breakfast as well as dairy and meat lunch and dinners.)
